Apollo Paul Duplantis, the beloved son of Amanda Brooks and Dominic Duplantis of New Orleans, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 11, 2022. Apollo laughed and smiled throughout his one year and one month, bringing joy and happiness to everyone he touched.
Sweet baby boy Apollo, sweet Apollo. Every inch of you is missed from your smile, your smell, your laugh, your noises, your whines, and your head full of curls. Mommy and Daddy love you so much. Good morning Apollo, Beunos Dias Apollo, hey sweet hands, hey sweet feet, it’s time for bed Apollo, give me a kiss Apollo, are some of the many sweet things we would say to Apollo throughout the day.
Apollo was a very social baby; he became friends with everyone everywhere. We never imagined him touching so many lives. We are not surprised, because he was truly SWEET. As mommy and daddy's hearts hurt so much from your absence, we know you will live in our hearts forever and ever. We have many family and friends to share memories with, sweet and silly videos, and many sweet photos.
Apollo loved eating, socializing, laughing, dancing to afrobeat, and throwing his toys in the bathtub or out of his playpen. To name a few adventures in his first year, Apollo did the following: flew on an airplane, went to Tulane’s football games, men's and women's basketball games, baseball games, beach volleyball games, gym workouts, and partied with Mommy’s friends until 2 am, made lots of friends at WEPLAY, took many Target and HomeGoods errands, waved at the trash men, and recently fought daddy at bedtime. He did more than some people do in their lifetime. He lived a very blessed short life.
King Apollo Paul Duplantis, AP, my baby, stinka, we love you forever and ever.
